What I value
-
Timeless Design
The aesthetic is modern, minimalist, and playful. The designs focus on art and ideas, not trends.
-
Handmade
Art & earrings are handmade in my home studio.
-
Sustainability
I focus on not being wasteful on the logistical side. All marketing materials are digital, and I focus on sustainability when it comes to making, packaging, and shipping (i.e., reclaimed silver, recyclable box/envelope).
The story behind the making
The mixed media art and silver jewelry are informed by my background in art and architecture.
Ideas can come from diverse sources such as construction/industrial sites, nature, and movements. Following traditional art making, I observe and record. Through the making process and mixed mediums, they become removed from their original purpose to create new point of views.
Outside of making, I love
-
Mountain living
I am based in Forest Falls, CA. I love waking up to the greenery, the fresh chill in the air, and the smell of pine outside.
-
Museum trips
I’m 1.5 hrs from LA and I enjoy museum trips with my sons. I get a lot of energy by seeing how/what other artists create. It keeps the mind open.
-
Tea & Pastries
As soon as I wake up, the kettle goes on for my strong English Breakfast tea with a splash of milk. I love a good, fresh croissant or any French pastry.
