About the Art
The art pieces are made with mixed mediums in the form of sculptural wall art. I love working with different textures and manipulating diverse scrap objects. Right now I am playing with crochet thread, metal sheets, wood, and silicon strips, among others.
My favorite artists are Agnes Martin, Eva Hesse, and Phyllida Barlow (to name a few).
A look inside the sketchbook.
It all begins inside the sketchbook. Ideas and shapes transition onto the pages, and materials and textures are planned out. Sometimes the work process is quick; other times it takes months or is left unfinished. It’s a process of reworking, manipulation, and simplification.
